About Us
St. Clair West Services for Seniors is a non-profit, charitable organization which provides valuable, innovative, and caring support services to older adults and/or adults with disabilities who wish to maintain their quality of life while living in their homes. We provide a range of services including Adult Day Services, Case Management, Community Programs, Home Help and Personal Care, Meals on Wheels, Older Adult Centre, Respite Care, Supportive Housing, Therapeutic Falls Prevention and Exercise, and Transportation. We have offered our services in the community since 1973 and we endeavour to provide these services in a variety of languages by trained staff and volunteers. Our community development focus builds sustainable, healthy communities and creates opportunities to empower individuals and groups.
In 1973, local churches in the St. Clair Avenue West and Bathurst Street area received a federal grant to deliver Meals on Wheels three days per week. This was the beginning of St. Clair West Services for Seniors and our name originates from our initial location.
In 40+ years we have grown significantly to meet the needs of our diverse community and our 2800 clients and participants. Today we employ 130+ staff, and annually benefit from the contribution of placement students and over 270 volunteers.
Our mission, however, remains the same, to optimize the opportunity for older adults to age successfully and with dignity in their own homes.

St. Clair West Services for Seniors will proactively provide valuable, innovative, and caring support services for individuals who want to maintain their quality of life while living in their own homes. We will ensure that agency services are accessible to all regardless of economic status, linguistic needs, or ethnic origins, and operate such services where possible by volunteer labour.
