Reconnect Community Health Services (Community Services Unit) provides a range of services including Adult Day Services, Case Management, Community Programs, Home Help and Personal Care, Meals on Wheels, Older Adult Centre, Respite Care, Supportive Housing, Therapeutic Falls Prevention and Exercise, and Transportation.
In 1973, local churches in the St. Clair Avenue West and Bathurst Street area received a federal grant to deliver Meals on Wheels three days per week. This was the beginning of St. Clair West Services for Seniors (SCWSS). In April 2017, SCWSS merged with Reconnect Community Health Services (Reconnect) .
The Community Services Unit employs serves over 3000 clients a year through the work of 140 staff and 280 volunteers.
